Light Family - Ginger aka Picabo

Picabo has found her new home with the Light Family.  They have named her GINGER.  She will have so much fun with the little girls that live in this home.  I see lots of cuddles in her future and maybe even the occasional rock-a-bye baby song sang to her.  She will be much loved in this home.

GINGER -At 7 weeks loves to play with her toys.  She is the only pup I have noticed hiding her toys in her kennel.  She is so funny and loves to explore and look for twigs and rocks in the yard.  She has done well with her kennel this week but does like to be with another litter mate.  She lasted about 7 minutes today when I tried her again on her own.  She will get used to being alone and if she has a toy, she is happy.  She is doing good going outside to potty and seems to know that is the place to go.  She loves to be held and packed around the house and will surely love having her little 2-legged friends pack her around.  One more week to go until she goes home to them.
Here she is with her buddy Oakley!
What a teddy bear face she has.  Can't you just scoop her up and kiss her all over?

GINGER -At 6 weeks has become quite mellow.  Last week she was inquisitive and had an investigative nature.  This week I think she has found her place in the pack and has become quite content.  She will come climb on my lap and hide from her litter mates.  When I remove her from my lap she’ll play for a short moment and then come find my lap again.  She is a cuddle bug.  I’m enjoying her cuddle side this week.

Little Miss Ginger decided to step off the back porch.  She didn't realize the snow was about 6 inches deep.  She fell all the way to the bottom and her little head was poking out.  I brought her right in to dry off and boy was she content to fall asleep in my arms.  You should have seen the look on her face when she fell through the snow.  The porch ledge is only 3 inches off the ground but with all this snow she must have thought she could walk right on the top.

PICABO At 5 weeks is still the smallest.  She is a spunky little girl.  She loves to explore and see her surroundings.  She was the first to figure out how to climb out of the kennel.  She may be small but she is mighty.  She loves the outside and is not afraid to go all the way out to the snow to wee.  She is a bit attached to me and used to me picking her up.  So she is not afraid to let out a little whimper so I'll come and pick her up.  She will surely have character.  Look at that cute little white chin.
PICABO At four weeks is still the smallest pup with McCall next in line. She is always looking for milk. I have been giving her extra milk so when I pick her up she assumes I will have yummy food for her. She goes a looking and a sucking on any finger she can find. Once she realizes it's not feeding time, she nestles in my lap for a cozy nap. She is very playful with her mates and not afraid to give a little bark to let them know she is around. Can't you just kiss her little face all over?  Below is a photo of her first bath.  She loved drinking water for the first time.

PICABO At three weeks she is still the smallest and very tiny. I question if she will be as big as mom and dad. She will be very curly like dad. Her little face looks like a teddy bear. She has been getting extra milk from a bottle so she can catch up a bit. Sometimes the other pups will knock her out of the way to get to moms milk. Look at that little face, couldn't you just kiss her all over.

PICABO At two weeks old and still dark red. Look at those curls, can't you just kiss her all over. She is still our smallest girl. Picabo likes to be next to her mates, when we hold her she wiggles around until we       put another puppy on our lap that she can snuggle with. She has the prettiest markings with dark red and little white toes. It really stands out. It will be fun to see how curly she gets. I think she will be the one to look most l     like a teddy bear.
PICABO- Born a twin with orange (Riggins) is our smallest girl. She is tiny at a week old! But don't let her size fool you. She army crawls all over the place and squeezes in the tightest spots. She's not going to miss out on a meal. She is our darkest little girl and will have medium wavy hair. It will be interesting to see if those waves develop into curls. She also has white toes on every foot and a white chest. She is such a doll. She gets lots of hugs and kisses from all of us.
